Monastero - Comunità di Marango

The Little Family of the Resurrection is a monastic community of brothers and sisters that arose in Maran go di Caorle, diocese of Venice, on Pentecost 1984 with. the blessing of Patriarch Marco Cé and assumed the mo nastic rule of Fr Giuseppe Dossetti.

It refers to the great Eastern and Western monastic tradi tion and finds its source and inspiration in the biblical texts of the Old and New Testament.

It seeks a coherent and continuous development of the baptismal life. It consecrates its existence to the praise of the Most Holy Trinity, interceding for the whole Church and for all people, especially for the smallest and most wretched, for those who do not yet know Jesus, It contributes to the building of the Kingdom through work and fraternal life.

Together with the consecrated brothers and sisters, other people live permanently, taken in over the years because of their frailty and littleness,

The community is open to welcoming those seeking God in a time of solitude and prayer.

To guests it offers:

- availability for listening and spiritual accom;

- paniment;

- sharing the simple life of the community;

- biblical studies;

- lectio divina.

Friends who book individually or in groups are called to live in simplicity, with the greatest seriousness, a deman-ding and profound experience of prayer, silence, fraternity, humble work and essentiality.

The monastic family lives on its own work and receives no subsidies of any kind.

There is no fixed fee for participation in the life of the community. If anyone wishes, and has the possibility, they can freely and secretly leave a contribution, also to allow the widest possible welcome and to promote gestures of concrete solidarity towards the poorest.
