Jury

The jury of the 4th Le Venezie International Watercolor Festival comprises 21 jurors drawn from around the world, bringing together leading experts across the fields of watercolor art, art history, curatorial practice, and arts education. Collectively, they form the festival's most important guarantee of academic integrity and professional excellence.

The jury panel spans multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, South Korea, Belgium, and China, achieving a genuinely international and multifaceted perspective in the adjudication process. Members represent a wide range of professional backgrounds — internationally acclaimed watercolor artists, presidents of national watercolor societies, art historians, international curators, and arts educators — ensuring that both creative practice and scholarly inquiry are fully represented on the panel.

In terms of judging procedure, each juror casts their votes independently, with results compiled and ranked by aggregate score. This approach effectively prevents any single perspective or subjective bias from unduly influencing the outcome. The entire judging framework is built upon three core principles: transparency, independence, and plurality. All results are formally announced at the award ceremony and simultaneously published on the official website for public access, providing a full and open guarantee of the competition's fairness and integrity.
