Agrupacion Espanola De Acuarelistas
The Spanish Watercolorists Association (AEDA) is a non-profit organization founded in May 1945. Its aims are to promote the development, teaching, and dissemination of watercolor painting.
The Board of Directors organizes classes, workshops, exhibitions, meetings, masterclasses, and various events for its members. It also collaborates with watercolorist associations in Spain and other countries.
AEDA is a member of the European Watercolor Society (ECWS).
Since its founding 80 years ago, more than 2,500 watercolorists have been members of AEDA, and there are currently around 500 active members.
Our activities are focused on the enjoyment of this technique and are geared towards both beginner and advanced watercolor artists.
Watercolor instruction is provided by teachers who are AEDA members and do not receive any financial compensation for their work. We currently have more than 200 students.
We publish a magazine, Acuarelia, to disseminate all information related to watercolor painting.
Our website, aedamadrid.org, and social media (Facebook, Instagram) allow us to further promote our activities.
We have an exhibition hall, “Esteve Botey,” and the “Ángel del Campo” classrooms where classes, workshops, portrait sessions, and lectures are held.
With our prized gallery collection, the result of donations from master artists, we decorate the rooms that inspire us to continue working with the wonderful technique of watercolor.
