Tanya Atanasova

A realist painter born in Bulgaria (1978) and working in Belgium. She is the chairman and founder of the FiKVA Foundation. She graduated from the National Academy of Arts (Sofia, Bulgaria) and the Saint Lucas Academy of Arts (Ghent, Belgium) in 2005, and continued her studies in several master classes with some of her favorite painters.

Tanya Atanasova devoted herself to large-scale non-traditional portrait painting and began to shuttle through contemporary realism. She is currently working in her studio located in Antwerp (Belgium), one of the most important art, design, and cultural cities in Europe.

In 2021, Tanya Atanasova decided to focus on creating a platform aimed at providing valuable exposure opportunities for emerging and mature contemporary figurative and realistic artists. Tanya Atanasova has worked for multiple non-profit organizations for over 20 years. She uses this experience, her artistic vision, and her network to engage in dialogue between art enthusiasts and collectors from different backgrounds, fellow artists in the concrete world, museum directors, curators, and writers.
